A hardcore woman Maoist cadre, Rebati Nayak of Narsinghatalia in Riamal police station area, with at least 18 non-bailable warrants pending against her involving charges like murder, was captured by the police during a joint combing operation by the police in a forest in Naktideula on Saturday.
Rebati was involved with the CPI-Maoist since 2003 and altogether 18 non-bailable warrants (NBWs) were pending against her in different police stations in Sambalpur and Deogarh districts, police said.
The woman Maoist was a functionary of the Sambalpur-Deogarh-Sundargarh Zonal Committee of the CPI-Maoist and is the wife of hardcore Maoist leader Bimba Bhoi of Tampersingha village in the district. Rebati was involved in Maoist activities both in west Odisha and Jharkhand.
