The Government has decided to upgrade two of the State’s key roads under second loan component of the Asian Development Bank project.
The upgrade of Chankahri-Maro-Sambalpur-Navagand-Chirha-Umaria and Raipur-Urla-Patharideeh-Berla-Kodwa roads will involve `178.17 crore and necessary orders have been passed by the PWD through Mantralaya, according to an official statement. The length of Chankahri-Maro-Sambalpur-Navagand-Chirha-Umaria is 68 km and a sum of `89.64 crore had been approved for raising of the level and reconstruction of the road. Similarly, the length of Raipur-Urla-Patharideeh-Berla-Kodwa is 48 km and `88.53 crore has been approved.
