Spirited Sahayatri Football Club from Howrah squeezed past Sambalpur Football Academy,Odisha by the huge margin of 7-1 in the 12th Administrator’s Football Tournament on Tuesday. Howrah lads started raiding rivals defence right from the start, but stiff challenge by Sambalpur defenders foiled their early attempts.
Budha Bara of Sahayatri drew first blood and scored in the 29th minute of play through a powerful grounder. He scored two more goals in 90th and 91st minute of play. After conceding early goal, Sambalpur scored the equaliser in the 34th minute. Chandra Mohan Murmu scored the goal for Sambalpur.
Thereafter, it was Sahayatri Club all the way. Anirban Dutta, SK Mukkarram, SK Suraj Ali and Souvik Pal scored one goal each for Sahayatri.
In the second match of the day played at sector-42, DAV Sr. Sec. School Chandigarh beat Gujarat Football Association by 4-0. Rizul Patiyal scored three goals in a row. He struck in 30th, 49th, and 56th minute of play. Fourth goal for DAV was scored by Rajat in 69th minute of play.
In the third match of the day, Dalbir Football Academy, Patiala drubbed Chandigarh Football Association by the huge margin of 6-1. Akashdeep of Dalbir scored the first goal in the 23rd minute of play. Second goal for Dalbir was scored by Gurroop. Sachin of Chandigarh scored the only goal for his team in the 34th minute of play. Jarman Singh scored two goals for Dalbir Football Academy in the 40th and 47th minute.
Thereafter Veerpal Singh struck twice in 81st and 84th minute of play and consolidated the tally. Jagroop Singh and Akashdeep singh of Dalbir Football Academy were cautioned and shown yellow cards for their involvement in Rough Play.
In another encounter, SAIL Mohun Bagan Football Academy trounced JJ.Soccer Academy , Bangalore by 4-1. Mohun Bagan, who lost their first match against Mahilpur Football Academy, adopted cautious approach in the initial minutes of the game. Deep Saha scored three goals for Mohun Bagan in the 20th, 30th and 85th minute of play. Fourth goal was scored by Gurshan Singh Sandhu through a superb header off cross from right flank. Narendra Prashad of JJ,Bangalore was cautioned by the referee and shown yellow card for his involvement in rough play.
In the last match of the day Thou Football Academy, Manipur edged past Madhya Pradesh Football Association by 3-1.
