Vigilance Department in a raid recoverd approximately Rs. 64,16,861 assets of both immovable and movable from a V.L.W.-cum-Panchayat Executive Officer,of Jhalangbira Gram Panchayat, under Kuarmunda Block of Sundargarh district.
On the allegation of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets by Trilochan Seth, presently working as V.L.W.-cum-Panchayat Executive Officer,of Jhalangbira Gram Panchayat, in Sundargarh district his residential house located at Jagda, in Rourkela, a house at his native village Sarangloi under Laikera Police Station of Jharsauguda District, house of Jenamani Seth (elder brother of Trilochan Seth) located at village Jarangloi under Bargaon Police Station of Sundargarh District and an Office room of Trilochan Seth located at Jhalangbira under Kuarmunda Block of Sundargarh District were simultaneously searched by the officers of Vigilance Sambalpur Division on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the by Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur. During the search, the following movable and immovable assets found in possession of Trilochan Seth in his name and in the name of his family members.
Movable assets like, costly household articles, one Ford Figo Car, one Mohindra Savari, one Sonalika Tractor, one Scorpio, one Yahama Motorcycle, hard cash and gold ornaments total worth of Rs. 28,86,825, deposits in different Banks and L.I.C. Policies to the tune of Rs.9,30,036 have been detected.
Besides the above, immovable assets like one single storied building constructed on the paternal land at village Saragloi costing Rs. 5,00,000 (1/5th of the total cost of the construction) Rs. 1,00,000 and cost of one plot located at Balijori, Jharsuguda worth of Rs. 25,00,000 have been detected.
The total movable and immovable assets so far detected during house search is calculated at Rs. 64,16,861 approximately. House search is continuing.
