Sambalpur: The double railway line between Sason and Rengali was on Saturday commissioned for goods and passenger trains after its completion.
Commissioner of Railway Safety, South Eastern Circle, Kolkata, Sudarson Nayak inspected the new line accompanied by other senior railway officers, including VK Bahamani (Chief Administrative Officer), AV Siva Prasad (DRM), DP Lal (Chief Engineer (Con) and GK Sarkar (Chief Signal &Telecom Engineer (Con).
With the commissioning of the new double line, the flexibility of train operation is expected to increases considerably and safety of train movement would be enhanced by virtue of colour light signalling in the Sambalpur-Rengli section.
