In a Vigilance raid assets of nearly around 57 lakhs from the Sargipali Branch Manager of Sundargarh District Central Co-operative Bank (S.D.C.C) unbar by Sambalpur Vigilance.
Basing on the allegation of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets by Rajendra Narayan Mohapatra presently working as Branch Manager, at Sargipali Branch, a residential three storied building located at Talasankara, of district Sundargarh, a paternal house located at village Mahulpali, of district Sundargarh.
Dwelling house of Fakira Mohan Sahu, father-in-law of Rajendra Narayan Mohapatra located at Dengibadi, of district Sundargarh and office room located at Sargipali, of district Sundargarh were simultaneously searched today on 29th by the officers of Vigilance Sambalpur Division on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur .So far, a land of Rs 133000 at Sundargarh Town, a four storied building on the above plot over 2800 Sqft.
With Ground Floor 2005, First Floor 2007 and 2nd Floor 2009 along with compound wall with a cost of RS 5212647 immovable assets & four numbers of L.I.C. Policies of Rs 100000 in the name his wife Prativa Sahu, Household articles including furniture and electrical gadgets of cost Rs 116520,Hard Cash Rs 5,954, Gold and silver ornaments of cost Rs 7,500 , Deposits in different Banks Rs 48,082, one Bajaj Motor Cycle of cost 36000, stands recorded in the name of the Suspect Officer, Mohapatra movable assets acquired and possessed by Rajendra Mohapatra, in his name and in the name of her family members have been unearthed.
Thus the total of assets both immovable and movable found in possession of the suspect officer, Rajendra Narayan Mohapatra have been computed to be 56 lakh 59 thousand 7 Hundred & Three Rupees recovered till now. The search is in progress.
